Points of Convergence in Illicit Trade

Shared Skies' last report shows a high rate of convergence between wildlife and other forms of illicit trade. Coordination, routes, shipments, convergent hubs (such as city or airports), or travels through the same jurisdiction are some of the highlighted areas of concern. Criminals operating on the DarkMarket tend to explore, according to the report, the same vulnerabilities in finance, communication and transportation systems as international criminals exploit. The report stresses the importance of an holistic approach to addressing illicit activities and systems.
